The common South African Taxi does NOT abide by the law. As you can see in this clip they just go through Red traffic lights endangering other road users as well as their passengers. Money is more important than life for them. They skip the traffic lights to get to drop off passengers quicker so they can make another trip which equals more money. They have no respect for other road users.

We as drivers of licensed motor vehicles need a valid license and our vehicles need to be licensed every year to be on the roads. what about this nut. and they wonder why they get killed for being illegally on the roads.

How often do you service it?
I do mine every 1000km just an oil change
I like the motocross style architecture of the handlebar (instead of covered by plastic). The naked bar also allows fitment of GPS, or lashing of small softbag with straps.
Whats the fuel consumption you get from this bike?
Hi I get about 3 liters 100km all depends how I ride.
what's the highest speed have you gotten on this ?
Hi I get about 110kmph on a flat road.

I'm having an issue with mine recently, maybe you can offer some advice please. Just tonight the overload light flashes after running for a while, the load is the same as before and there were no issues for the past 2 months until now. I've checked the oil, the air filter, the petrol filter and it still does this. The engine still runs but everything connected goes off. Until eventually it completely turns off. I've also reset it. I'm at a loss. I intend to take it in tomorrow to Adendorff but it's extremely important it gets fixed super quick as I use it for my mother's oxygen concentrator during loadshedding. If there's anything I can do to fix it on my own that would be better. Thanks. I'd appreciate some help if you could.
Hi there. Sorry to hear you are having issues. Have you tried running it without anything connected so we can get an idea if it's the unit itself or if it may be something connected to it that is causing this issue.
@@PhilippineBruce I have and it seems to function fine without anything connected, however I am concerned perhaps I did not run it long enough to be completely sure, it usually runs about maybe give or take a half hour and shorter afterward, I should also mention the rope is very stiff and after its shut down it doesn't want to pull properly, could that be an indication of a fault as well? Thank you so much for helping me.
@naomijacobs1562 Morning. If it does not shut down with no load connected, then it seems there may be a fault within the load you are connected to. The pulley should not get tight after it has run, so there seems something is not right. I am no expert, sorry but I think the best option would be to take it back to adendorff and have them check the unit. Explain your situation and they may have a loan unit available.
@@PhilippineBruce Hi there. I went to take it in early this morning and they were very helpful, they fixed it quick, it was apparently the filter at the end of the exhaust that was clogged and dirty, they removed it entirely to prevent it happening again and so far so good, it seems to have solved the problem. I'm super relieved, I think I shaved off 10 years of my life with all the stress. They did check through everything so I'm assuming if there was an issue with the rope they would've mentioned it, I did tell them about it. Thanks for trying to help. I appreciate it. I feel silly that it was all it took to fix it but I guess that's how you learn. 🙈
@naomijacobs1562 Thank you for the update. I am glad it was nothing serious. They are reliable little machines. I wonder what would have caused all the clogging at the exhaust end did they mention anything or any reason?

@@PhilippineBruce I'm in Cavite in Lancaster by General Trias. I enjoyed your ride on the bike, nice roads with traffic moving smoothly. You definitely don't get that here with the roads, congestion and no rules. I miss taking a relaxing ride on country roads. I need to explore further to find what here..
@@telcobilly I fully agree there are no rules on the roads there. I actually bought my first XR 150 there in the Philippines and liked it so much I got one when I returned to SA. I spent most of my time in Samar Calbayog and Clark. Did some island hopping to Boracay and El Nido. Take care and enjoy.
@@PhilippineBruce I came here from the US. My dad took us to SA in '68 and we ended up in toti. I returned to the US in '79. Has to be tricky changing the driving side of the road between the PI & SA..
@@telcobilly Yes it takes some getting used to different driving sides my brain used to get confused when I came to a round about. SA is so much different to what it was like back then. Total mess here they can't even keep the electricity on and crime is through the roof.
The Honda is a nice little machine, but the TW will climb a power pole if you wanted

Hi Lukas I would go for the Honda XR 150 it is a reliable little bike. The only real advantage with the tw is the fat tyres where riding on the beach is better. I would stick to the Honda XR I have taken mine almost everywhere with no issues also it way cheaper than the tw. Hope this helps

The carbon brush on my XR150 got stuck at 22.000KM after cleaning all ok. Thanks for the video. Lucky you still have the kick-starter, but you must have the kick to start it fast.

Yes correct this video is the Bluff roads. Some other XR ones are Philippines roads different side of the road confused my brain in the beginning lol

Tinalo pa rider sa barako ko negro 2017 model at 2016 model, 16 33 sprocket ko na stock sa stock di umubra yan. 120kph negro ko ung 2016 ko barako 130kph. Sa negro ko lang arangkada iwan na yan kahit sa dulo. Tapos sabi mo 160kph takbo supremo.

@@roytaylor5618 Brilliant little bikes mine did not give me any real problem at all other than rust but that was due to me living by the coast. Otherwise an excellent little bike lots of power.

@@PhilippineBruce Sorry about that...Do you have any plans to return to the Philippines? I was there in May 2019. I stayed with my in-laws in Zambales, visited my wifes gravesite, observed the damage from a recent earthquake, visited 3 churches built by the Spanish in the 1600s and 1700s. I also got to meet the granddaughter of Philippine President Magsaysay. One of my sisters in law was working for her at the time. All in all it was a great trip. I hope you are doing well in So. Africa...Roger
@@rogergordon1765 I was there I think in 2017 also went to Iba Zambales and to Samar Calbayog. I was hoping to go back this year but with this virus I am not going. Besides we are in lockdown here in South Africa at the moment.
